Rayaburi Resort (Racha Yai Island) is a brand new resort, set on a pristine beach on Racha/Raya Yai Island (Phuket). The resort located on a private property set among 75 acres of coconut palm and lush tropical garden right beside Siam Bay - the longest and widest powdery white sand beach on Racha Yai Island.
The resort features 28 spacious en-suite rooms to ensure your comfortable and pleasant stay. Its unique mixture of authentic Thai style beach resort facilities with calm and peaceful atmosphere, and the heartfelt hospitality and service - catering for all type of travelers.
Racha Yai Island is one of the most peaceful islands in Phuket, only 12 miles south of Phuket (just 35 minutes by speed boat from Phuket's Chalong Bay). The Island is known for its natural beauty and is since long known for its crystal clear turquoise water, rich and colourful coral reefs teeming with marine life and pristine powdery white sand beaches. Currents are also mild make it a major attraction for snorkeling and the world's class diving site.
Despite its popularity, it is always possible to find a secluded spot and bask in the feeling of being miles away from everything - which you really are. Activities on the island include snorkelling, diving, nature hikes, fishing trips and horse-back riding. Or simply come with a mellow attitude, a good book and relax.
Eco-friendly policy at the Rayaburi Resort (Racha Yai Island)- In an attempt to prevent global warming, Rayaburi Resort (Racha Yai Island) will do its part to accommodate the natural resources of Koh Racha Yai by preserving electricity and energy. We are honoured to participate in the Green Leaf Foundation program supporting ways to prevent global warming and saving the environment. Hence, Rayaburi Resort (Racha Yai Island) will offer limited electricity supply (no electricity between 3pm - 5pm). Schedule above is recommended during low occupancy, and schedule might be adjusted accordingly during high occupancy to ensure the comfort is maintained for all guests. Candles and/or flashlights will be provided in every room.
Rayaburi Resort (Racha Yai Island) will be renamed to Racha Island Resort (by Rayaburi Group), effective from 1st November 2011
